From the desk of Kirsten Vaughan, Book Stop committee:
The Book Stop still needs your help!
We are extremely low on books for First graders and Kindergartners. Please go through your shelves at home, and keep an eye out at garage sales for us! We are also in need of 2 sturdy but small and easily set up folding tables (rectangular preferred – around 2′ x 3′ or 2′ x 4′ would be ideal, and no legs that have the buttons to push to raise and lower, please). Let me know if you have any ideas. Most importantly, I am still looking for someone (preferably with a young child at CES) who would like to be in charge of the Book Stop. I have one more year here, and can be a co-chair for next year if you want a little guidance. I’d love to hand Book Stop over to someone who loves it! Please come by on a Friday morning 8:00-9:00 am to talk with me, or Tuesdays or Thursdays 8:00-9:00 am to see what it’s all about and chat with the other volunteers. It’s fun, rewarding, and not very difficult or time-consuming most of the time. Thanks!
