A Message from Mr. Stanton, our principal

December is a short school month, but it has been filled with many great activities and experiences.  Our Cary Elementary Chorus performed at the Cary Winter Festival in addition to a concert with our school orchestra at the Cary Arts Center.  Our 5th graders recently took part in the Japanese Lantern Festival at Koka Booth where their art class lanterns were on full display.  Special thanks to St. Michael’s and Cary First United Methodist churches who support programs that help Cary Elementary students and families.  Mrs. Shearin and I had a great time reading with the group of students at Cary First United Methodist this week!  pictured with our antlers below 🙂

We appreciate the many parent and grandparent volunteers who have been assisting with our learning experiences on a regular basis.  It is truly exciting to visit the classrooms and see the students’ responses to learning new concepts.   Don’t forget to follow-up on Twitter ( @cary_elementary ) to keep up with some of the fun happening at CES.

On behalf of the entire staff, I want to wish all of you a happy, safe, and healthy holiday season and offer you the gift of thanks and appreciation for everything you do for our children and school .  Vacation begins Thursday, December 22 and we’ll look forward to seeing you all returning on Tuesday, January 3.  Happy New Year to all!

Sincerely,

Rod Stanton

Principal
