5th Grade’s Cultural Arts week long workshop will be December 11-15th. We will need volunteers each day to help students make their animals out of recycled materials.
The sign-up genius isn’t posted yet, but please mark your own calendars if you think you can help out! Many hands are helpful and needed!
What can I do NOW?
If you’re volunteering, or unable to, there is still another easy way to help out! Please look for the following materials and donate if you can:
- Plastic bags ( use for stuffing animals)
- scrap material ( we rip up the materials to wrap up and shape animals) like sheets or material that can be cut/ripped
- string ( we use it to tie up bags and material in place)
buttons ( can use as eyes, nose etc)
- Any other materials that can be used to create animals.
Collection bins will be located in a multi-purpose classroom (Room 2314–middle of the 4th/5th grade hallway) to collect donations beginning now through the end of the project date in December. Please be on the lookout for the sign-up genius to volunteer during this week (12/11-12/15)!
Thank you to the PTA and United Arts Council for funding this workshop.
